The Yoruba comedy actor Babatunde Bernard, better known by his stage name Baba Tee, states that he will pardon an unfaithful spouse under one condition.
In a TVC interview, Baba Tee stated that as long as his partner is “remorseful,” he is ready to overlook their adultery, even if it results in a child.
Additionally, he exhorted women to abandon abusive and infidelity-filled marriages.
“As a woman, if you know you cannot tolerate your husband’s maltreatment or infidelity, leave the marriage,” he said.
“Personally, there is nothing I cannot keep for a woman who is good to me. If a woman cheats on me and a child comes out of it and I find out, I will forgive her if she is remorseful. I will take the child as my own.”
However, in January, the actor made headlines for claiming cheating is “natural” for men.
He added that just because a man cheats does not necessarily mean that he does not love his wife.
“When a man marries a woman, she is the most special woman to him in his own world. So even when a man is cheating, his mind is still with his wife,” he said.
“Cheating is a man’s next skin whether you like it or not. You call it cheating but it is their next skin.”
Babatunde had initially married Yetunde Oduwole, but the two would eventually divorce.
In 2019, his second marriage, to Dupe Odulate, also terminated in a similar manner.
It’s thought that the star is dating his third woman.
