Nigerian actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli claims that she would have been a successful surgeon by now if she had not chosen to pursue a career in acting.
The Nollywood actress revealed this to Netflix during a Q&A session in which she also shared fascinating personal information. Oboli disclosed that she was raised in Delta State, near the Delta Steel Company.
She bragged about her culinary prowess and her ability to prepare a wide range of Nigerian meals, particularly soups like egusi and banga.
Omoni Oboli expressed:
“I grew up in Delta Steel Company in Delta State. If I were not an actor, I would definitely be a surgeon.
“I can make so many Nigerian dishes, especially the soups. I can make banga soup, egusi, you name it I’m your girl.”
When asked about her favourite Netflix title, she revealed that she would love to be a part of the classic series Bridgerton, saying;
“If I had to choose another Netflix title to be in, it would definitely be Bridgerton”.
The mother of three also shared her favourite thing about being an actress, which is the ability to play multiple roles in one lifetime.
“My favourite thing about being an actor is that I get to be so many people in just one life. The last thing I watched on Netflix was a limited series called The Anatomy of Scandal.”
Omoni Oboli expressed her excitement about her upcoming project, Òlòtūré: The Journey, describing it as “thrilling, tear-jerking and nerve-wracking”.
