“I’d like to feature Burna Boy in ‘My Car’ remix”– Tony Tetuila

Nigerian singer, Tony Tetuila recently stated his interest in working together with Afrobeats and dancehall sensation Burna Boy for the remix of his 2001 hit track, ‘My Car’.

The former member of the now-defunct band The Remedies talked about his goals with internet sensation Daddy Freeze.

Tony Tetuila showed his respect for Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ogulu, who is a Grammy award winner in addition to being nominated for one.

Tetuila expressed during the interview his admiration for Burna Boy and the creative path he has led Afrobeats to.

He went on to reveal his intention to collaborate with the ‘African Giant’ on the remix of ‘My Car’, a song that resonated with audiences across Nigeria and beyond in the early 2000s.

Tetuila expressed his enthusiasm for Burna Boy’s music as he pointed out the impact of the new generation of singers on the music scene.

In his words;

“I wan work with that boy. I am working on ‘My Car’ remix and I want Burna Boy. I love him. I love all these guys. Do you know what they have taken the music to? I love what that guy is doing. I listen to his songs always in my car.”
