Controversial Nigerian actress Lizzy Anjorin has stated that she considers herself more holy than renowned gospel singer Tope Alabi.
The actress made this statement while responding to the controversy surrounding Tope Alabi’s refusal to perform at her birthday celebration.
According to report, Tope Alabi, who had been paid to surprise an undisclosed celebrant, allegedly declined to perform after realizing the identity of the celebrant.
The surprise birthday celebration took an unexpected turn when Tope Alabi and her husband, Soji Alabi—who also serves as her manager—refused to step out of their car upon arriving at the venue.
In response to the incident, Lizzy Anjorin took to her Instagram page to criticize the organizers of the surprise and asserted that she is holier than the gospel singer.
Anjorin stated that she doesn’t need Tope Alabi, adding that the singer’s best songs are already included in her album and can easily be played at home.
“Aunty Tope, I love you but I do not need you. If I had invited her myself, I would not have paid a dime.
“I’m holier than you, aunty mi Tope. If we are to ask about your impact in society, I have impacted more lives than you. I’m holier than you. I have done more good than you did and I am pure. If you judge me because of my court cases, I am thankful that God did not judge me”.
