Popular Nigerian gospel singer Sola Allyson has revealed that she does not live with her husband.
She shared this during a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV.
Discussing her love life, the 54-year-old artiste—who rose to fame with her romantic album Eji Owuro—explained that although she is married, she and her husband do not reside together.
Reflecting on her marriage, Allyson added that she has never experienced the kind of joy many people often speak about.
“I’m married, but I’m not in my husband’s house. We live separately.”
The interviewer asked: “You sang ‘Eji Owuro’, did you experience genuine love from your husband?
She replied, “We lied before. Those older than us didn’t inform us that it’s tough. They made us believe that so long as you both love each other, you will live happily ever after, but it’s a lie. That’s not the experience I have. I didn’t have the experience of living happily ever after. I did all I could to make it work.”
