Media personality Daddy Freeze has criticised Nollywood actor Yul Edochie over his reaction to Roby Ekpo’s emotional interview, igniting fresh reactions across social media.

Amid the controversy, media personality Do2dtun defended Roby, emphasising that expressing emotions is healthier than keeping them bottled up. He stressed the importance of mental health and encouraged men to speak openly about their struggles rather than suffer in silence.

However, Yul Edochie took a contrasting position, dismissing Roby’s emotional display and suggesting he move on by engaging with multiple women. He wrote: “My brother, Do2 speaking out is ok. Crying is totally unacceptable. Rather than cry for a woman, replace her with 5 new hot women, impregnate all of them at once.”

The statement quickly went viral, drawing widespread criticism from social media users.

Reacting, Daddy Freeze described the advice as unrealistic and lacking sensitivity. He said: “I am seeing all sorts of comments like Roby, why are you crying. Are you not a man? Yul Edochie said he should marry his seven (7) wives and get all of them pregnant on the same day. Shey Roby wey dey knack twice a week wan impregnate seven women on the same day? This Yul sef no be say too get sense like that. Shey man wey dey knack twice a week wan knack seven women. Person wey one impregnate seven women in a day go dey knack 2 or 3 times a day. Na those ones fit impregnant multiple women because you’ll be amazed that If you’re trying with a woman, the chances are often against you. It’s not like in high school that you “put one thing inside another” and it quickly results in pregnancy. Then you panic and say, “We tried it only once.”

But in real life, especially in marriage, when people are trying to have a child, some go five years with nothing. They set alarms, monitor ovulation, and still nothing happens.

So let’s look at the facts from Roby’s reality. He feels he has put in a lot and hasn’t gotten much in return, and I kind of sympathise with him. At 48, if he gets a woman pregnant today, she will give birth when he is 49. By the time he is 60, he’ll have an 11-year-old child, and at 70, he may still be training a child in university, not a grandchild o.”
