Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has criticised supporters of President Bola Tinubu’s administration amid growing concerns over insecurity across the country.

The actress took to her Instagram story to argue that anyone supporting the current government is “morally compromised”.

According to Jegede, such individuals fall into the category of “kidnapper, killer, and corrupt person”, urging them to reflect on their actions and “deal with their conscience”.

“Every supporter of Tinubu is a kidnapper, killer, beheader and corrupt individual. Deal with your conscience. Yvonne Jegede says so,” she wrote.

Her comments add to a growing number of voices from the entertainment industry expressing concern over the country’s security challenges, particularly the increasing incidents of kidnappings and killings.

The remarks come shortly after armed bandits attacked schools and nearby communities in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The attackers struck Baptist Nursery and Primary School in Yawota, Community Grammar School, and L.A Primary School in Esin Ele, abducting pupils, students, and teachers.

Actress Ruth Kadiri recently called on Tinubu to tackle the worsening insecurity, warning that many Nigerians no longer feel safe in their own homes.

Filmmaker Toyin Abraham also described the security situation as painful and deeply troubling.

Music producer ID Cabasa likewise condemned the rising wave of insecurity, accusing the federal government of not taking sufficient action to address killings and terrorism across the country.
