The controversial founder of the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach (ZPMO) Ebuka Obi, has once again captured the public’s attention, revealing a life choice that few can ignore.
The Imo-born preacher, speaking in his native Labuat, Igbo, made a startling disclosure that has shocked the spiritual community and beyond in a recent and eye-opening interview with BBC Igbo: he has never engaged in sexual activity.
He revealed that he had sworn to God twelve years before to getting married to stay celibate.
Ebuka Obi views celibacy as more than just a sacrifice; it is a potent instrument that enables him to maintain his spiritual focus and hear God’s voice crystal clear, free from other distractions.
His words;
“I have never dated before. I have never had sexual intercourse with any woman. Any woman who says I’ve had sexual relations with her should speak up
“Qualities in a woman is not the reason I am not yet married. What is holding me back is that I want to hear the voice of God on it. He has never directed me about marriage. I prayed for 100 days last year to hear from God about it but there was no sign.”
Obi spilled a transformative moment in his life, revealing that in 2009, he made the bold decision to leave behind a thriving career in electronic trading to pursue his true calling—founding Zion Ministry.
Throughout the interview, Obi addressed the growing rumors and speculations that have swirled around his ministry, particularly the accusations that his miracles are staged.
With unwavering confidence, he firmly denied these claims, insisting that his healings and miracles are authentic manifestations of divine power.
