Jigawa TV to go digital soon – MD

The Managing Director of Jigawa Television, Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia said Gov. Muhammdu Badaru has pledged to put the station on satellite.

Hadejia stated this during a four-day capacity building and training of staff of the station in Dutse on Tuesday.
“We met with the Governor on the way forward, after which we resolved we should put the station on satellite.

“This is in line with the Federal Government directive that all Radio and Television stations in the country must all be digitized by 2020,” he said.

Hadejia disclosed that the station has procured almost 95 per cent of its equipment to meet with the policy directive.

He announced that the chairman of the 2020 Presidential Digitization Committee, Mr. Andrew Amana visited the station last year and was satisfied with the equipment procured towards the digitization.

Hadeja charged the staff to be dedicated, hard working and versatile in their work to cope with the challenges of the new innovation.
