JUST IN: Popular nollywood actress, Ada Ameh dies two years after losing her only child

Ada Ameh, a veteran Nollywood actress, best known for her role as Emu in the Africa Magic family drama The Johnsons, passed away on Sunday night.

Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, confirmed the news to journalists on Monday morning.

“We had lost Ada. No details at the moment, but we’ve lost Ada,” Rollas told reporters.

However, viral unverified reports on social media claimed that the actress died Sunday night at a hospital in Delta State.

The post claimed that Ameh was a guest of an oil company topshot  when she suddenly collapsed. She was rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Hospital but passed on before they arrived at the facility.

The actress a few weeks ago, opened up about her mental health challenges.

“Everything is going to be fine. I have an issue right now, and it’s taking my life. I will not die. We will get over it,” Ameh had said.
