Legendary Nigerian Fuji star Sikiru Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate or Kwam1, has set social media abuzz following an emotional public reunion with his teenage son, Abdulmalik Ayinde Marshal, and the boy’s mother, actress Bisola Badmus, at an EM Reality Africa event.

The heartfelt moment occurred during the singer’s performance when he paused, gestured toward 15-year-old Abdulmalik, who bears a striking resemblance to him, and invited him on stage.

The audience erupted in applause as K1 embraced his son warmly, while Bisola Badmus, standing nearby, was visibly moved to tears.

Attendees noted that friends and colleagues rushed to console and congratulate Bisola, who has largely raised Abdulmalik on her own amid years of strained relations with the musician.

The reunion comes after Bisola’s public statements in September 2024, when she revealed that she had primarily cared for Abdulmalik while managing health challenges and accused K1 of gradually withdrawing support.

Her emotional appeal for greater responsibility drew widespread sympathy. Consequently, seeing the musician publicly acknowledge his son for the first time in years has sparked strong reactions, with many fans celebrating what they describe as a long-overdue moment of healing.

Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa was among those congratulating the family openly.

However, the reunion has also prompted debate, with some critics questioning why such recognition took so long to occur.

Others argue that, despite past tensions, the moment represents a hopeful new beginning for Abdulmalik, who recently received an educational scholarship that has eased some of the burden on his mother.

For now, many fans are optimistic that this public embrace signals a genuine step toward long-term involvement and support in Abdulmalik’s life, potentially marking a significant turning point for the family.
