Kubanah: Femi Adebayo, Etiko, others unveil as new brand ambassadors

Nigeria actors Femi Adebayo, Destiny Etiko, Nosa Rex Okunzuwa, known as Nosa Rex and skit maker, Abisi Emmanuel Ezechukwu, aka Nasty Blaq, have been named new ambassadors for whisky brand, Kubanah.

The firm, during the unveiling in Yaba, Lagos, said the brand was created with quality locally sourced ingredients that meet international standards and can compete with international brands.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the firm, Emeka Ike, said Nigeria cannot join the commonwealth of nations until its citizens embark on creativity, and productivity with local content, adding, “when that is done, jobs will be created and kidnapping, banditry, fraud and other crime will reduce, and then, Nigerian business environment will begin to attract foreign investors and the economy bounced back.“

I believe that when we talk about a good product, we must also talk about its quality and because of this product’s quality taste, we need to let Nigerians know that they can have the same great taste in locally made products.”

On why he signed with the brand, Adebayo said: “I signed this deal for a year and hoping to renew after. First, I accepted to be an ambassador of this brand because it’s an indigenous brand and I have been a promoter of indigenous content, made in Nigeria and for Nigerians, and I researched about the brand and I was convinced of its quality.

I am sure that it can compete with international brands. So, all indigenous product makers should focus on producing content to internationally acceptable standards.

”On her part, Etiko said: “I found this brand worthy to associate with and apart from being a brand made in Nigeria, the quality was also a reason considered to be its ambassador. I am excited because it will also create jobs for a lot of people.

I am expecting that the brand will keep doing better, maintain its quality, and that’s what will keep me remaining its brand ambassador.”
