Meagan Good, DeVon Franklin end 9 year-old marriage
American actress and model, Meagan Good, and Pastor DeVon Franklin, her husband, have ended their nine year-old marriage.
The duo announced the news in a joint statement shared on their individual Instagram pages in the early hours of Wednesday.
According to the statement, they decided to end their marriage after “much prayer and consideration,” adding that none of them is at fault.
The duo also said in spite of the split, they will remain “forever connected”.
“After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected. We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal.
“There’s no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love,” the statement read.
“We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other.”
The couple met on set in 2011 during the filming of ‘Jumping the Broom’, an American romantic comedy-drama.
They tied the knot in Malibu, California, in June 2012, three months after the Truth About Men writer proposed. The couple do not share any children.
