Popular rapper, Ice Prince acknowledges Jude MI Abaga as a mentor who taught him the art of rapping.

In an interview with Curiosity Made Me Ask, the 38-year-old musician proudly discussed his rap abilities.

He added that his strong foundation under MI’s tutelage prevents him from being labelled as “wack”. Ice Prince, real name Panshak Zamani, said that he trained under Abaga for years.

He also described MI as a “mentor” and “big brother” who equipped him with everything he knows about rap.

“I can rap on any beat, with anybody, any rapper and I will stand out. I’m not going to have a wack verse on a song,” he said.

“I’m not saying other rappers cannot rap or do their thing but it can’t be said that I’m wack. I was brought up by the best, shout out to MI Abaga.

“I rapped with MI for years. That’s my big brother, he taught me how to do this and he taught me well.”

Ice Prince started to enjoy fame in 2011 after he released ‘Oleku’, a chart-topping song off his debut album.

He has continued to put out hit songs and collaborated with other music heavyweights.

Abaga, on the other hand, gained recognition in 2006 with ‘Crowd Mentality’.
