Miami Beach has officially revoked singer Diddy’s Key to the City amid his ongoing legal issues.
The city severed its ties with the controversial American rapper following multiple charges and lawsuits filed against him.
Mayor Steven Meiner announced the unanimous decision to strip Diddy of this honor during an in-person hearing last week, nearly nine years after he received the Key to the City.
Diddy was awarded the ceremonial key in 2015 in recognition of his contributions to the music industry and his significant role in organizing the Revolt Music Conference held in Miami Beach.
Currently, the 54-year-old is facing federal charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering.
