Mohbad: NGO files fresh petition against wife, brother, demands police investigation over alleged evidence
A non-governmental organisation (NGO) founded by African Television creator Larry Omodia has filed a new petition requesting that police investigate Olawunmi, the widow of late Nigerian artist Mohbad, as well as his brother Adura Aloba and a close acquaintance, Damola.
The petition refers to a TikTok discussion that reportedly offers insight on the circumstances of Mohbad’s strange death.
Mohbad, real name Ilerioluwa Aloba, died on September 24, 2023, leaving a devastating vacuum in Nigeria’s entertainment sector.
An NGO has filed a new petition against Mohbad’s wife and brother, calling for a police inquiry into purported evidence.
Mohbad died beside his wife. Despite current judicial processes and police enquiries, the specific cause of his death is unknown.
The NGO claims the TikTok chat, involving Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi, may contain critical evidence related to Mohbad’s demise.
It has called for thorough forensic investigations into the communication devices of those implicated.
