A new development has surfaced as Wunmi, the widow of late Afrobeats singer Mohbad, has spoken out amid the ongoing DNA controversy involving her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba.
Olawunmi has been at the centre of a widely discussed dispute with Aloba over the paternity of her son, Liam.
While Joseph Aloba has insisted on a DNA test to confirm the child’s paternity, Wunmi maintains that she is open to it but accuses him of deliberately delaying the process.
During a TikTok livestream, Olawunmi said she remains unbothered by her father-in-law’s actions, stressing that he should comply with a court order directing him to apologise to her.
She warned that failure to obey the court directive could prolong the dispute.
“If you are not going back to that, we will be in this battle for too long. 20 years, I’m still here. You have no power over Liam”, she said.
Wunmi added that she had initially requested a DNA test but chose to stay silent amid circulating rumours about the issue.
She also alleged that her father-in-law never officially informed her about conducting a DNA test on Liam, despite discussing it publicly online.
“Everybody has family issues that they are dealing with. You never wanted it from the beginning. The next thing you did was going to my lawyer was to serve them“, she added.
