Mount Zion Films loses another cast weeks after Baba Gbenro’s demise

Mount Zion Films Ministries has lost another cast of one of it’s popular series ‘Abattoir’.

According to reports, Tolu Adegboyega, who was well-known for her exceptional portrayal and good interpretation of the role of Flora in the Abattoir film series, has passed away.

Reports also has it that the deceased, who solely appeared in religious films, had been fighting for her life since December 26, following a horrific vehicle accident that claimed the lives of one of her twins.

She had remained in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the hospital since the accident.

She went through two surgeries in an effort to save her but she sadly passed away.

Her passing has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the gospel film community, who remember her for her impactful performances and unwavering faith.

Recall that another Abattoir cast, Moses Korede Are better known as Baba Gbenro also passed away few months ago.

His colleague Oluwaseun Adejumobi confirmed Are’s death on Instagram.

“Heavens gain again. A general has gone to rest,” he wrote.

In another post, Adejumobi lauded Are, saying that he lived a “purposeful and inspiring life”.

“Rest on Evangelist Moses Korede Are. You lived a worthy life. We are challenged to keep the living rooms right. We are challenged to keep chasing purpose. We are challenge to make eternity our ultimate pursuit,” he added.

Although the cause and date of Are’s death were not disclosed, there are reports he battled a prolonged liver disease.

The 65-year-old was in the gospel film industry for over two decades. He produced, directed, and featured in several films including ‘Abattoir‘ — the Mount Zion Youtube series where he got the stage name ‘Baba Gbenro’.
