Well-known singer and record producer Pheelz has declared that he and Rema would determine the direction of Afrobeats and the Nigerian music industry.
He emphasised that he thinks their cooperation will have an influence on the music industry and that he is also interested to collaborating with the “Calm Down crooner.”
The most recent episode of the podcast “Menisms” included Pheelz as a guest.
“I think Rema and I can dictate the future [of Nigerian music/Afrobeats]. I would love to work with him. I think our collaboration will change the world,” he said.
Recall that Pheelz disclosed the influence Rema had on the pivotal moment that shifted his career path from being a producer to becoming an artist.
The artist behind “Finesse” mentioned that during the COVID-19 lockdown, he came across a tweet from Rema that had a profound impact on his life.
Speaking in the latest episode of the Moni Talks podcast, Pheelz said: “Rema tweeted ‘the world is on pause for you to catch up’ and I felt that that was a message to me personally.”
The singer expressed that the tweet stirred something within him, prompting him to realize that he couldn’t afford to leave the world with all the talent he possessed untapped.
“I kept telling myself I have to die empty,” he said.
