“My sickness will never be anyone’s portion,” Ace Nollywood actress hospitalised, seeks N30m for surgery

Veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, has appealed to the public for financial assistance as she battles an undisclosed health condition that has required her hospitalisation for the past three weeks.

The 62-year-old film star shared her plight in a video posted on Instagram on Thursday, revealing that she is scheduled to undergo three surgeries and requires N30 million to cover the total cost of the procedures.

“My people, my fans and my family. I know that you have not seen me in circulation for some time. I have been hospitalised for three weeks,” she said.

“Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help. Don’t let me die. I know that you people never forsake me and I know that God will always see me through, but I’m begging you, my fans and family, don’t let me die.”

Nwosu also disclosed that anyone willing to support her should contact her management team, providing contact details for those who wish to contribute.

“I am going through a lot, as in pains. I have like three surgeries to go through. Please, don’t let me die. If there is anything you want to do for me, please contact my management. They would be there for you. God bless you,” she said.

“My sickness would never be anybody’s portion in Jesus’ name. Thank you.”

In an accompanying post, she wrote: “My fans, friends, family and colleagues, this was really hard for me to do, but I can’t keep quiet anymore. I need urgent life-saving surgeries”.

This is not the first time the actress has sought public support for medical treatment.

In 2012, she appealed for N6 million to address kidney and heart-related ailments.
