American rapper Nicki Minaj recently shared a humorous tweet, declaring that “Nigeria will not be the end of her.” This came after she voiced her opinion on the National Football League’s decision to select Kendrick Lamar as the headline performer for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans.
Minaj, taking to the platform X (formerly Twitter), expressed that Lil Wayne, her mentor and the head of Young Money Records, would have been a more fitting choice for the historic performance due to his strong ties to New Orleans and his influence on hip hop.
Responding to criticism from fans, Minaj went on a spirited rant that many noticed had a distinctly Nigerian flair. In a lighthearted reply, she joked, “Nigeria won’t kill her,” referencing Ayra Starr’s hit song ‘Comma’ by quoting the line, “Sabi girl no dey too like talk,” playfully showcasing her Nigerian side.
“LMFAOOOO. Nigeria will not end me o! Sabi girl no Dey too like talk My words take the express elevator to the most high chi. I will show them pepper,” the post reads.
