The lawyer for Afeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has rejected allegations of the Marlians record label owner’s involvement in the passing of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad.

Mohbad passed away on September 12 under uncertain circumstances, prompting subsequent police investigations and a coroner’s inquest.

However, Naira Marley’s lawyer, Olalekan Ojo, clarified during a video conversation with Daddy Freeze on Instagram, viewed on Sunday, that the events in a widely circulated video, where contentious Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, attempted to intimidate Mohbad but was halted by Zlatan during a video shoot, were misunderstood by the public.

Ojo said, ‘’As for Naira Marley, I believe very strongly that no matter how hard you look, you will not find a single incident where Naira Marley bullied him.”

He mentioned that Larry, Mohbad, and Zlatan resolved their dispute and shared a meal of “Amala” together after the incident.

Ojo further mentioned that there exists an extended version of the video featuring all three individuals together.

He recounted, “Sometimes in June 2023, he (Sam Larry) came to Elegushi beach and heard some musicians were shooting a musical video, so he wanted to see who they were. Remember that in that video, he said so it’s even you.”

“That video is a nine-second video and it will interest you to know that there is a longer version showing these guys eating Amala together after the incident,” he noted.
