Nigerian dancehall superstar Michael Adebayo Olayinka, well known as Ruger, responded to a fan who ridiculed him for not releasing a successful song since leaving Jonzing World record label.
The fan had taken to his comment section to comment of a newly released song and taunted Ruger, saying “No hit since you left Jonzing.”
Ruger who recently spoke about his fallout with his ex-label boss, D’Prince responded confidently, reversing the shade by saying“@efekoga no hit for Jonzing since I left Jonzing.” The singer also added dancing emojis to buttress his point.
In essence, he reversed the roles, hinting that the label hasn’t released a hit since he left, while also quietly confirming his role in their success during his tenure.

Recall that, Ruger disclosed the reasons behind his split from D’Prince’s label Jonzing World.
Ruger stated that although he is grateful that his previous record company made him well-known, he was unable to extend his contract since the label did not promote his brand to the extent that he felt it should
He said that D’Prince, the head of his former record label, had abandoned him and was using the money from his music to find other artists.
Ruger vented on X on Thursday, saying he had more to say but was afraid of getting stabbed if he revealed more information about the record company.
He wrote, “As much as I’m very appreciative of the fact that Jonzing world introduced me to the world, I just couldn’t continue with them because they got too comfortable with the money they were making from me and couldn’t push me further as I wanted to be pushed. Was supposed to renegotiate the contract but I couldn’t imagine 5 years more without action.
