The trend of celebrity couples parting ways continues this year, with actor Peter Ijagbemi joining the list of high-profile casualties.
In an interview with his colleague Biola Bayo on her talk show, the Yoruba actor disclosed that his marriage has come to an end.
He clarified that it was his wife who initiated the conclusion of their marriage due to observed changes in him. The relationship faced persistent challenges, ultimately reaching a breaking point.
Peter acknowledged his imperfections and noted that his wife was not without flaws either. However, he opted not to speak negatively about her, considering their children and her role as a devoted wife. According to him, they first met in 2011, tied the knot in 2016, and went their separate ways in 2022. He revealed that his wife consistently confronted him for not featuring her on social media.
“My wife noticed that I wasn’t myself. She has her own flaws, which I don’t want to talk about because we have kids and the internet doesn’t forget. So no matter what I say about her when the kids grow up and go on YouTube, they will see it. So I don’t want to say anything negative about her, because she was good to me. She has her own flaws, I have my own flaws.”
