Fast-rising Nigerian actor, Seun Osundiya, popularly known in the Yoruba film industry as Seun Confirm, is dead.
Seun’s passing was confirmed by his colleague Jaiye Kuti in an emotional Instagram tribute on Wednesday.
Kuti expressed sorrow over his death. She described it as a painful loss while offering prayers for his grieving family.
In her post, she referenced “High BPH,” suggesting that the actor succumbed to complications from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a non-cancerous prostate enlargement that can lead to urinary and health issues.
“Seun Confirm. Your death pains me greatly. God Almighty, death is cruel. Rest in peace? Not now, Lord! I am deeply hurt,” he wrote.
“Ah, I am pained, High BPH. We shall meet at the feet of Jesus. Sleep well, and may God comfort your family.”
Fellow actor Oluwaseyi Edun also paid tribute in the comments, reminiscing about their last conversation in July.
“Unquestionable God. Seun, you chatted me July 27th that your phone was not good that you just got a new phone and you could not remember the date of my event again and sent me a voice note to know if the event was still intact,” she wrote.
“After my response yobwttu still wished me happy last Sunday of the month. May your soul rest in peace.”
Aside from acting, Seun was also a film producer and a skilled master of ceremonies (MC).
His death comes just weeks after the passing of another upcoming actress Omotola Odunsi leaving the industry in shock and grief.
