Nigerian actress and social media influencer Nimota Adesanya, popularly known as Nimmy Ferrari, has died in her late 20s.
Her death was confirmed by fellow actress Kemisola Kemity Apesin in an Instagram post on Sunday.
“Everybody is back home; we left only you, IDERA Nimmyferrari. It is well,” Apesin wrote, suggesting that the actress had been left behind after friends and colleagues returned from what appeared to be a funeral gathering.
The announcement has since triggered an outpouring of tributes from colleagues and fans on social media.
Actresses Victoria Kolawole and Dada Tolani shared heart emojis in the comment section, while Adeola Adewoyin urged Kemity to remain strong.
Actor Jigan Babaoja wrote, “May her soul rest peacefully,” while Biola Adekunle added, “It is well,” accompanied by a crying emoji.
The exact cause of Nimmy Ferrari’s death has not been officially confirmed as of the time of filing this report.
However, unverified reports indicate that she may have died from complications following surgery to remove fibroids.
Videos circulating online also showed family members carrying her remains for burial, reportedly in the Sagamu area of Ogun State.
Nimmy Ferrari gained popularity through street-style vox pop interviews and collaborations with Nollywood actors, particularly discussions about their experiences in the Nigerian film industry.
She was in her late 20s at the time of her death.
