Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has criticised a Nigerian blog, accusing it of consistently distorting her social media posts and comments.
In a post shared on Instagram, the actress alleged that the blog deliberately combined a separate TikTok post and comment related to the announcement of her daughter’s birth, thereby altering the intended context and meaning.
“For over 10 years, you have consistently tried your hardest to bully and ridicule me but God no gree let you see road pass,” she wrote.
Adunni disclosed that she had previously cautioned the blog on several occasions, including last year, but has now resolved to pursue the matter through legal channels.
She further alleged that the platform had benefited financially from using her name and public profile over the years.
“I have given you several passes and warnings even as recent as last year, I come with receipts, you will have to prove to the court why you merged two separate post and comment? Does this even make any sense?” she said.
“But not to worry, I’m coming for you. I play by the book and you’re about to find out the hard way. You have made so much money with my name; its time you pay me royalties. I am the most patient in the courtroom.”
The development comes shortly after the actress announced the birth of her daughter, Baby Sal.
Adunni, who was born to an American mother and a Nigerian father, is also mother to two sons, Ayden Young and D’marion Young, from a previous relationship.
In 2017, she revealed that she had never been married to the father of her older children, explaining that she ended their eight-year relationship because it was “never going to work out”.
