The Osun State Government has denied that certain state officials travelled to Atlanta, Georgia, for the naming ceremony of David Adeleke’s (Davido) twins.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, there was no official delegation to any social function in the United States because there was no such event in the first place.

Alimi stated that individuals responsible for the rumours based on directional confusion will be informed that no naming ceremony for the new David Adeleke twins took place.

“Let’s further enlighten them that babies are usually named before leaving the hospital in the United States of America so that birth certificates can be issued.

“We also need to add that top state officials and commissioners were at their duty posts attending to state functions.

“Governor Ademola Adeleke even while on vacation is ensuring coordinated focus and constant networking within government establishment for delivery of services, programmes, and projects.

“We advise opposition activists to stick to constructive criticism instead of idle gossip to preserve whatever little is left of their reputation,” Alimi said.
