The Practicioners of Content Creation, Skit-Making, and Influencers Guild of Nigeria (PCCSIGN) has criticised Multichoice Nigeria over an allegation made by Phyna, the BBNaija season 7 winner.
BBNaija is organised by Multichoice. The winner of the 2022 season of the reality show was Phyna, actual name Josephine Otabor.
However, the reality star stated last week that she had not yet received the money and prizes that the show’s organisers had promised for that particular season.
Her claim arose following Multichoice’s announcement of the ninth edition’s auditions.
In an open letter posted on Instagram on Monday, the PCCSIGN listed the items that some of the show’s sponsors are believed to have owing the 27-year-old.
Multichoice was asked by the guild to assist with “the release of the prizes” from the sponsors.
In addition, PCCSIGN stated that not doing so would “undermine the integrity of the show” and “reflect poorly on the sponsors.”
“This is a young woman trying to get what she deserves. I have enough respect for (Multichoice, DSTv, BBNaija) but it is imperative that the sponsors uphold their commitments to winners of the show,” reads the caption of the post.

Phyna defeated more than 20 housemates for the N100 million grand prize among other gifts won during the show.
Last year, Phyna apologised for her behaviour during the first six months following the BBNaija win.
She also condemned the reality TV show, saying “it is too toxic”.
