Controversial musician Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has declared himself a police ambassador just days after causing a stir by evading arrest by police officers.

Portable announced this on his Instagram page, sharing photos of himself with his father and other high-ranking officers at the Lagos police headquarters on Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, reaffirming his relationship with the police, he announced that he is now a police ambassador while reaffirming the oft-used phrase – ‘Police is your friend’.

However, netizens have begun to praise the singer for always taking advantage of every opportunity, whether good or bad. Some even call him an influencer who knows his onions in the field.

After spending 24 hours in custody, the “Zazuu” crooner shared a snippet of his new song “Spiderman” in response to his arrest for defaulting on a car payment plan.

Produced by 2tuponthebeat, the song references the singer’s escape, likening it to having flying powers as he jumped over a gate to evade arrest.

The incident, captured in a video that circulated on Tuesday, shows the singer dressed in a white and black striped shirt. He stood alongside eight other people and was seen climbing over a nearby gate before fleeing.
