The winner of Big Brother Naija Season 9 Kellyrae, has shared his worries regarding the overwhelming number of requests for financial assistance he has been receiving from various individuals.
In a recent interview with media personality Hero Daniels, Kellyrae revealed that after he publicly announced giving his wife Kassia N55 million from his prize money, he has been flooded with numerous requests for financial assistance.
Kellyrae highlighted that he is currently not in a secure financial position to meet these requests for assistance. He pointed to the increasing cost of living and various expenses as significant factors contributing to his situation.
He urged those requesting financial assistance to give him some time to stabilize his own situation and prioritize his personal needs.
“I was receiving calls people close to us after I said I gave Kassia N55 million and they were asking for their own share of my prize money,” he said.
“I will like to say to everyone, I’m not a rich man yet please. The money is big but things are expensive. Even if it’s egg I want to buy, how many crates of eggs will I buy? Please allow a brother to settle.”
In a different story, Kellyrae shares the details of how he met his wife, Kassia.
In an interview with Arise TV, Kellyrae shared that his first connection with Kassia was through her elder sister, who was his colleague during their time in movie production. He mentioned that one of the film projects they collaborated on utilized Kassia’s house as a shooting location.
It was at that location that Kellyrae first encountered Kassia and felt an instant attraction to her. He remembered asking for her phone number, and what started as a casual friendship slowly developed into a romantic relationship approximately a year later.
