Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, and rapper Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, have been summoned for critical stakeholders meeting in response to the recent unrest in Lagos.

According to reports, the duo and other concerned stakeholders were invited on Wednesday, March 1, by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, to address insecurity in Lagos following the conduct of the 2023 presidential, senate, and house of representatives elections last Saturday.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state Police Public Relations Officer, provided an update on the meeting, saying that a meeting with the persons responsible for maintaining peace in Lagos before the 2023 governorship election became necessary.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, today convened a meeting of political parties, traditional rulers, religious/youth/market leaders, media influencers and other opinion moulders at the POWA Hall of the Command Headquarters, Ikeja Lagos.

The meeting, which was convened to address security concerns within the state following the Presidential Election and in view of the coming Gubernatorial Election, provided the opportunity for Lagosians to ventilate their concerns, point out areas of security needs and recommend strategies that would help curb any form of violence within the state, Hundeyin noted in the statement issued yesterday.

The Commissioner of Police reminded influential people that setting an example and speaking out against violence or aggression can help maintain peace.

CP Owohunwa, who charged the stakeholders with preaching peace, tolerance, and the rule of law to their teaming followers, assured them that the command would not hesitate to protect law-abiding citizens and deal with troublemakers who followed the law.
