Skales has condemned Cubana Chief Priest for suggesting that the recent deadly assault in Jos was designed to “embarrass President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday.”

The attack occurred on the evening of March 29, when suspected gunmen stormed the Gari Ya Waye area of Angwan Rukuba in Jos North, leaving more than 20 residents dead and several others injured, forcing families to flee amid gunfire.

Numerous celebrities, including Jos-born rapper Ice Prince, actor Mr. Macaroni, and singer Peter Okoye, publicly condemned the violence on social media.

In an Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest expressed his shock at a viral video showing a mother and child and criticised the state governor for appearing more fearful than the residents. He described the attack as “an embarrassment to our president on his birthday” and called on security agencies to do better.

“To lead a state, you have to be fearless… this was clearly done to embarrass our president on his birthday,” he wrote, adding prayers for President Tinubu and the victims.

In response, Skales rejected the socialite’s interpretation, emphasising the human tragedy instead of political implications:

“This guy is delusional … I can’t believe he said that … life’s lost and all you care about is the president being embarrassed… where is your conscience… you have kids don’t you also,” he stated.
