Psquare’s feud is more complicated than it appears – Paul Okoye

The Nigerian artist Paul Okoye also known as  Rudeboy claims that the split between him and his brother is more complicated than it appears.

Beginning in 2017, Peter Okoye and Paul’s rivalry caused the brothers to break up with Psquare and go into independent endeavours.

Even though they got back together in November 2021, their reconciliation didn’t last long.

In a recent disclosure, Paul claimed that Peter was responsible for setting up his detention by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Peter refuted the claims, though, and charged their elder brother Jude Okoye with transferring millions of dollars from their joint account to a covert business.

In response to the charges, Jude asserted that he had made every effort, including “sacrificing himself,” to heal the division between his brothers.

In a recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, Paul revealed that he has decided to no longer address his rift with Peter publicly due to constant misinterpretation.

Without delving into specifics, Paul acknowledged the feud but emphasized his continued love and concern for Peter and Jude.

He appealed to fans to respect whatever resolution the family ultimately chooses.

“I don’t think I owe anybody any explanation this time anymore because there is so much twist about the whole issue,” he said.

“They are my brothers I still love them. What is going on inside is bigger than what you guys think is going on. Let’s just respect the family, you cannot separate it anymore. It is still family.

“There are so many emotions going on now. Fans, drop your weapon. We all have problems in our family.”

Recently, Rudeboy questioned why their brotherly bond has to be affected by their professional disagreements.
