A well-known socialite, Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, has refuted rumors of his recent involvement in a car accident.

Certain segments of the media circulated reports suggesting that the event organizer and his family were in a car crash on Saturday night.

In response to the rumors, Sam Larry addressed the situation in the early hours of Sunday, stating that he and his family went out but returned safely, contrary to what was reported.

He dismissed the reports as “fake news,” alleging that they were fabricated by individuals aiming to damage his reputation.

On his Instagram page, he wrote: “I, Samlarry, want to use this platform to debunk the false information spreading online about my involvement in an accident. Both my family and I are perfectly fine; we spent the day together and even went out for dinner, returning home safely.

“Despite the prevalence of fake news, please disregard any online claims about me. While some may seek to tarnish my reputation, I entrust them to God for judgment. I appreciate the concern of my friends and family, but rest assured, I am doing well, and nothing untoward has occurred.

“To those spreading falsehoods, may your actions reflect back on you. Thank you, Samlarry. God bless your home.”

Reports state that Sam Larry gained significant attention months back when he was accused of intimidating the late singer Mohbad during his lifetime. This followed the circulation of a video showing him and his associates disrupting the singer’s video shoot.

On October 6, Sam Larry, along with Naira Marley and two others, were brought before the court and detained over their purported roles in the events leading to the death of former Marlian Music artist, Mohbad.

Subsequently, they were released on bail after spending several weeks in custody.
