Sarah Martins criticises Yul Edochie over his post about late Junior Pope

Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has criticised her colleague Yul Edochie for a recent Instagram post about the late actor Junior Pope.

Yul responded to rumours in his post on his nonattendance at the popular actor’s burial and his lack of comment on the subject.

He said that even though he regarded the deceased actor as a close friend and sibling, he experienced constant betrayal from him.

Yul declared that he would give everyone the lowdown on their fight so that others may learn from it.

Many on social media surmised that Yul was making reference to Junior Pope, aka John Paul Odowondo, who passed away.

Sarah Martins responded by accusing Yul of attempting to use Junior Pope’s passing on Facebook to garner attention and money.

Sarah stated that Judy Austin, Yul’s second wife, was the one behind the post on her Instagram profile, raising the question of who would stand up for Junior Pope.

She wrote,

“Yul Edochie!!! So like this na you wan use the late Junior Pope trend and make money on Facebook huh??? You should be ashamed of your broken self! Hungry Odiegwu!!!.

“I’m 100% sure say an Judy dey push you to dey type that nonsense you typed. So who wan come defend am now wey he don kpai??? Make una try dey get conscience. Very anyhow person.”

In a similar story, Yul Edochie disclosed on Tuesday his reasons for not attending his colleague Junior Pope’s funeral.

He did not name names, although his post was made a few days following Pope’s funeral.

The actor died in April following a boat accident in Asaba, Delta state, on the River Niger.

On Friday, he was laid to rest at Nsukka, Enugu state’s Igbo-Etiti LGA.

His funeral was place in Ukehe’s Saint Peter’s Catholic Church.

In a post via his Instagram page, Edochie said he refused to mourn his late colleague because “he offended me”.

The actor added that Pope “betrayed me” after I took him as “a brother and good friend”.
