American rapper Cardi B has publicly chastised her estranged husband Offset, claiming that he is delaying their divorce by not signing the required paperwork.
Cardi B vented her fury in a recent live stream on X (previously Twitter), criticising Offset for not purchasing Christmas presents for their kids even though he seemed to love them.
She accused him of purposefully trying to get even with her while using their children as a pretext.
Cardi B drew attention to what she described as hypocrisy, pointing out that Offset had ignored their children while purchasing presents for his other children in New York.
To further highlight his erratic engagement in their lives, she disclosed that he had only called their daughter once that year.
The rapper’s remarks shed light on the ongoing tensions in their relationship and the impact on their family dynamics.
She said: “I didn’t want to do this, but I don’t like when I’m at peace and a motherfcker wants to call me over and over, and then do little sht behind the scenes to piss me off. You want to see the kids? You just called your daughter for the first time this year yesterday — your newborn.
“You love your kids so much, but you didn’t buy them something for Christmas. You go to New York to buy your other kids gifts, but you ain’t bought my kids sht. You’re doing this just to spite me. You’re going to stop fcking playing with me, and you’re going to sign these f*cking divorce papers.
“Stop using my kids as an excuse. You’re not going to use my kids as an excuse because these are the same kids that you didn’t buy anything for during Christmas.”
Recall that Cardi B and Offset went apart in 2023 after six years of marriage.
