Afrobeats singer and entrepreneur Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known as Mr Eazi, has shared his plans to venture into politics in the future.
The ‘Skin Tight’ crooner, who recently married Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, revealed in a Snapchat video that he hopes to become a president someday.
He added that he has been considering running for the presidency of an African country for quite some time.
“I have been thinking about it. I think it’s time to share it with you guys. Some of you might be from some country, specifically in Africa, and you are looking for a president; a president who is not looking for money and power but forward-thinking, young, active and can move your country better.
“So, I’m officially putting myself forward for the presidency,” he declared.
Despite being Nigerian by birth, Mr Eazi shares a deep connection with Ghana, where he studied and kick-started his music career.
He has often credited Ghana for shaping his unique sound, which he describes as Banku Music— a fusion of Nigerian and Ghanaian influences.
In recent years, several Nigerian celebrities have ventured into politics, taking on both elective and appointive roles.
Others have also expressed interest in future political pursuits, including actress Eniola Badmus, who announced in April 2025 her ambition to become a senator.
Similarly, former senator Ben Bruce once predicted that singer Davido could one day emerge as the Governor of Osun State.
