Singer Justin Timberlake arrested for ‘drunk driving’ in America

The American musician Justin Timberlake was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI) in the United States.

In Sag Harbour, on the eastern tip of Long Island, Timberlake was reportedly taken into custody by police on Monday night, according to ABC News.

He was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and given penalties for failing to stop at a stop sign and to keep right. He was arraigned on Tuesday.

“On June 18, 2024, Justin Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor for Driving While Intoxicated,” reads a short statement from the Suffolk county district attorney’s office.

“He will be arraigned in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court this morning. At this time, we have no further comment.”

Timberlake is on a tour for his latest album, ‘Everything I Thought It Was’.

The United Centre in Chicago will host the “Forget Tomorrow World Tour” on June 21 and 22, followed by Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 25 and 26.

Before going solo in 2002, Timberlake started his career in the 1990s as a member of NSYNC.

The vocalist of “Can’t Stop The Feeling” has put out several studio albums, including as “Man of the Woods” (2018), “Justified” (2002), “FutureSex/LoveSounds” (2006), “The 20/20 Experience” (2013), and “The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2” (2013).

For his efforts, he has won various accolades and recognitions.
