Renowned Nigerian record producer and singer, Rexxie, also known as Chisom Faith, has been apprehended in Uganda.
On Monday morning, the ‘KKP’ artist shared on his Instagram page that he is currently detained by Ugandan Immigration.
Despite labeling the arrest as “unfair,” Rexxie did not specify the reason behind it. In a plea for assistance, the producer urged fans to advocate for his release using the hashtag “UgandaFreeRexxie.”
He wrote, “I’ve been arrested at the Ugandan Immigration.
Recalling a previous incident, Nigerian artists Omah Lay and Tems faced arrest and court charges in Uganda for violating COVID-19 social distancing regulations by performing at a concert on December 12 at Speke Resort, Kampala. The singers spent two days in prison before being released.
