The Grammy-winning Nigerian singer-songwriter, Tems, also known as Temilade Openiyi, is set to create history at the 2024 Billboard Women In Music Event.
The artist behind ‘Essence’ has been designated as the recipient of the Breakthrough Award Honor at this year’s Women In Music Awards, marking her as the inaugural Nigerian honoree.
On Wednesday, Billboard disclosed the list of honorees for the 2024 Women In Music Awards.
Other awardees encompass Kylie Minogue (Icon Award Honoree), Ice Spice (Hitmaker Award Honoree), Victoria Monét (Rising Star Award Honoree), and Young Miko (Impact Award Honoree).
Billboard mentioned that details about presenters, performers, and additional honorees will be revealed in the coming weeks.
The 2024 Billboard Women In Music Event is scheduled to take place at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California, on March 6, 2024.
