Veteran rapper Vector, also known as Olanrewaju David Ogunmefun, has expressed concern that the rise in single parents in society may be contributing to the number of “mentally unstable” individuals.
The rapper expressed his sorrow about the pace at which he believed single parents were “destroying” children’s lives in a post on X.
He was speaking in the context of children whose parents are divorced, separated, or no longer together.
According to Vector, a parent shouldn’t break a child’s bond with the other parent by using what he called “emotional sentiments.”
The musician claimed that doing this would obliterate children’s future self-assurance and tranquilly.
The rapper said, “It’s crazy how many single parents are ruining their kids’ lives because of their strong emotions.”
“You have a child with someone but because you both can’t be together, you sabotage the foundation of the child’s sanity by doing everything possible to destroy the connection they have with the other parent during their formative years.
“In case you are slow, you are destroying your child’s immediate future peace and confidence and creating one more mentally unstable human in the society.”
