Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, has released a new song following his arrest.

Portable was arrested by the Lagos state police command on Tuesday for reportedly failing to repay a debt acquired after purchasing his G-Wagon from a motor dealer.

The hitmaker of “Zazoo Zeh” allegedly paid just N13 million for the car, although it being valued at N27 million.

When the car dealer asked for his money, Portable apparently refused to give the remaining N14 million, claiming that the vehicle was having problems.

The singer attempted to avoid arrest by jumping over a gate as well.

The singer hinted to the soon-to-be-released track just hours after being granted freedom again.

In ‘Spider Man’, Portable croons about his encounter with the law enforcement officials.

He also compares himself to Spider Man, stating that he has the power to overcome any obstacle.

“Why dem dey beef my glory/ Dem dey watch me like a movie/ Spider Man I can fly/ God is over everything/ Bobo no go die young unless toba darúgbó,” he sings.

Earlier, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the Abuja-based legal practitioner, tackled the police over the arrest and detention of singer.

He criticised the police’s debt collection strategy, calling it a “blatant disregard to the country’s laws.”
