Starboy singer Terri Akewe, whose real name is Terry Akewe, has disclosed that she suffers from health issues related to ulcers.
The musician also said that he suffers from a medical problem linked to anxiousness.
Terri discussed his difficulties since starting his music career in a series of articles on X.
In addition to his medical issues, he said that his mother is “losing her mind.”
Terri said he had to sacrifice his education to pursue music.
He further said he has “suffered so much cyberbullying” since he started his career.
“Ulcer complications, anxiety issues. In and out of the hospital. Crazy hospital bills, mum losing her mind, all for the music. Shit crazy. Jesus never fails. We will win finally.
“Lost friendships, family, just trying to find myself. Stanship war and distractions, something I know little or nothing about.”
Acknowledging the toll the music industry has taken on him, Terri pleaded, “Please, just see Terri for Terri. This shit is my whole life…. Support my craft.”
Terri also spoke on his inability to pay his tuition fees in 2018 and how he sacrificed his education to pursue music, saying, “2018, after getting admission into UNILAG three times and couldn’t make it because of finances, I was ready in 2018 to begin study, I quit because of this music. I gave my all to it.”
Terri further noted his struggles with cyberbullying, which has been a challenge, as he admitted, “Since I got in here, I have suffered so much cyberbullying, All I wanna do is sing.”
Terri started his music career professionally after he gained the attention of Wizkid with his cover of ‘Oshe’ in 2018.
The young singer was rewarded with a record deal on Wizkid’s Starboy imprint.
