Renowned Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has paid an emotional homage to her late husband, Jaiye Aboderin, who died 20 years ago.
She and their children, Isabel and Angelica, visited Jaiye Aboderin’s cemetery to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his passing.
Damasus thanked God in a heartfelt post for giving her the courage to get through the challenging moments after her ex-husband passed away.
She added that Aboderin is “forever in our hearts,” acknowledging his ongoing influence in their kids’ lives.
The emotional tribute sparked an outpouring of condolences and support from fans, friends, and colleagues, who praised Damasus’ resilience and devotion to her late husband.
The post was accompanied by a video showing Stella Damasus and her daughters paying emotional tributes and struggling to hold back tears. She wrote:
“Exactly 20 years ago today, my husband Jaiye Aboderin passed away. 20 years later, with his children grown enough to honour his legacy in the same place, we went back there.
“It was not easy to get through this, but I am grateful to God for strength. Special thanks to my family and friends who joined us and those who couldn’t make it but prayed and called.
“It is well with us. Jaiye is forever in our hearts. May his soul continue to rest in peace.”
