Controversial Nigerian rapper, comedian and content creator, Darlington Okoye, frequently referred to as Speed Darlington, has cautioned followers to stop comparing him to singer Wizkid.
The singer-songwriter of “Akpi” mentioned that many of his admirers have been comparing him to the singer and asserting that he is superior to the Starboy boss.
Strong disapproval was voiced by Speed Darlington at the comparison made between him and Wizkid.
The rapper noted that he is approaching 8 years in the music industry and he and Wizkid have never met, even though the singer once acknowledged him in New York.
Speaking during a recent Instagram live session with fans, Speed Darlington fumed:
“Why are people telling me that I am better than Wizkid? How do I and Wizkid correlate? Do you know how many years I’ve been in this industry? Seven years.
“Next year, May 17 or 16, I will be 8 years in the industry and I’ve never met Wizkid. Although he has previously acknowledged me in New York. He posted one of my songs. Please, stop the comparison,” he said.
Recall that, Speed Darlington recently invited single women to apply for the position of his wife.
The 39-year-old rapper recently outlined the qualifications for his potential wife in an Instagram post.
He described his ideal wife as being at least 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with dark skin, aged between 18 and 23 years, a secondary school graduate, and preferably a virgin.
He wrote, “Look for a wife with: Dark skin, under 150 pounds of weight, at least 5 feet, 8 inches tall, age 18 to 23 years old, a great listener, second school graduate, financial literacy, business minded person, never been to Libya, I prefer a virgin but if you’re not, it’s fine, personal hygiene/cleanliness is very important to me, 46 to 50 inches of ukwu, a person who is fluent in Igbo and English.”
On what he is bringing to the table, Speed Darlington said, “I have: six plots of land, associate degree in digital filmmaking, access to USA, 4 lingual, 11 rooms mansion, five bank accounts worldwide, three rooms apartment in Lagos, 18 years old Mercedes, frequent flyer, medium listener, good analyst and advisor, studio, and more shirts than I need.”
