Popular Tanzanian singer Mandojo died tragically as a result of mistaken identity.
On Sunday, August 11, 2024, Mandojo died after being mistakenly thought to be a thief and suffering a lethal assault.
Soggy Doggy, a fellow musician, verified his departure on social media and expressed his sadness at the news.
Thinking about how fleeting life is, Soggy Doggy lamented Mandojo’s passing and sent his sympathies to his friends and family.
He wrote:
“My heart is in great pain, I will miss you very much my brother and friend.
“Rest in peace. Mandojo, surely human life is very short on this earth. Sorry brothers, relatives and friends and I’m very sorry my brother @domokayatz God’s work has no mistakes.”
His colleague Domo Kaya also paid his respects by sharing heartfelt words about Mandojo on social media.
Domo Kaya expressed disbelief about the timing of Mandojo’s passing and wished him eternal peace.
“Daaaah MY SON I don’t believe the 22nd of this month is supposed to be your birthday Aisee why! This is so sad. Rest in peace. may God give you eternal light, friend, brother”he wrote.
Tragically, Mandojo’s life was cut short just days before his birthday.
He is known for his hit songs Nikupe and Dingi.
