Taylor Swift dethrones Rihanna to become world’s richest female musician

Famous American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift has officially become the world’s richest female artist, with a net worth of $1.6 billion, Forbes reports.

This astounding feat demonstrates her exceptional financial success, which has been largely fuelled by her fully booked worldwide “The Eras Tour” and the enormous worth of her vast discography.

Taylor Swift, who is only 34 years old, is the first performer in history to become a billionaire only via her live performances and music.

Approximately $600 million from touring and royalties, together with a further $600 million from her song repertoire, significantly contribute to her wealth.

With her newfound wealth, Taylor Swift has claimed the title of the second-richest musician globally, trailing only behind Jay-Z, whose net worth stands at around $2.5 billion.

Taylor Swift’s financial prowess has placed her at position 2,117 on Forbes’ list of world billionaires, surpassing several notable female artists.

Other leading female musicians include Celine Dion, with a net worth of $550 million; Beyoncé, at $760 million; Madonna, at $850 million; and Rihanna, at $1.4 billion.

Notably, Rihanna, who previously held the title of the world’s richest female musician with a net worth of $1.7 billion, now ranks 2,336 on the Forbes list.
