Nigerian singer Teni, also known as Teniola Apata, has opens up that she was diagnosed with a life-threatening throat infection.
The artist Teni revealed that while working on her second album, titled ‘Tears of the Sun,’ she suffered from a throat infection.
This health issue arose only a few months after she had shared her weight-loss journey with her fans.
She revealed that after experiencing multiple instances of temporary voice loss, medical experts advised her to undergo a significant surgical procedure to prevent the potential of permanent voice impairment.
In September, she was admitted to the hospital due to recurrent episodes of exhaustion.
Rather than proceeding with the surgery, she opted for treatment. Teni documented her journey with a video clip, capturing her hospital stay.
In the closing moments of the video, the singer conveyed her assurance to fans that her upcoming album, “Tears Of The Sun,” is deeply emotional and will be released on the 17th of this month.
She also mentioned that one of the singles from the album, “Malaika,” is a heartfelt expression of her gratitude to God.
“TESTIMONY TIME. WHEN YOU FINALLY GET TO HEAR THIS ALBUM, I WANT YOU TO LISTEN FROM YOUR HEART, EMBRACE IT WITH YOUR SOUL AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW, THAT I GAVE IT MY ALL, AND SPOKE MY TRUTH, STRAIGHT FROM MY HEART, AGAINST ALL ODDS. TEARS OF THE SUN,” she wrote.
