Afrobeats musician Davido has received praise from businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, for not “discarding” his fiancée, Chioma Rowland.
The businessman, who was born in Imo, claimed that Davido’s decision to wed there has made the state proud.
In a video taken during Davido’s most recent visit to his home, Chief Priest made this claim.
In the video, he could be heard saying:
“Thank you for not discarding my sister [Chioma]. You are a good man. God will not stop blessing you.”
In the Instagram caption, the socialite wrote, “My inlaw Davido oga adiri gi na mma. You have made my Imo proud by not letting our daughter down.
“Imo and Osun have become one. Maka ogo mmadu bukwa nwanne ya. Ogechi kacha ma. The richest, thanks for stopping by. [Hash tag] Chivido2024.”
In another story, Davido and Chef Chioma has posted photographs from their engagement shoot.
The 30 BG boss shared a series of images with his fiancee wearing various ensembles, labelled with the wedding hashtag, “#CHIVIDO2024”.
Davido and his partner are reportedly planning a traditional wedding in Lagos on June 25, 2024.
Davido also verified the news of his imminent wedding, and preparations are ongoing.
In a recent interview, the musician discussed his connection with Chioma, stating that he knew her before becoming famous and wealthy.
Reflecting on this, Davido expressed thanks for meeting her at that time, stating that it would have been difficult for him to join partnerships now since he would believe every woman wants him for his money or position.
Davido announced his approaching wedding to his partner, Chioma Rowland Adeleke.
According to recent reports, singer and chef Chioma will wed traditionally on June 25, 2024, in Lagos.
